Hayley J. Kondon

Hayley Kondon is a partner and has been with Wagener Law since 2014.  She has been practicing labor and employment law since 1994, and she has conducted numerous investigations at a variety of workplaces.  These range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies and include several entertainment-related businesses and productions.

Before starting at Wagener Law, Ms. Kondon was a contract attorney at Steptoe & Johnson, a premier law firm that U.S. News and World Report has ranked “Tier 1” amongst the nation’s best employment practices.  She represented clients in discrimination, wrongful termination, and other employment-related lawsuits.  Ms. Kondon also advised and counseled clients on day-to-day employment law matters, including human resources strategy, litigation avoidance, personnel policies, and employee handbooks.  She also drafted and reviewed contracts and employee handbooks, negotiated settlement agreements, and conducted workplace investigations.

Ms. Kondon also worked as an associate, and later counsel, at O’Melveny & Myers, a premier law firm that U.S. News and World Report has ranked “Tier 1” amongst the nation’s best employment practices.  She represented clients in a variety of industries, including aerospace, airlines, education, manufacturing, medicine, and entertainment.  She counseled clients in matters of discrimination, harassment, occupational safety and health, pensions, union organizing, and wage and hour law.  She handled all aspects of employment litigation, and she was lead counsel in arbitrations, mediations, and court and administrative hearings.  She also conducted many internal workplace investigations for her clients.

Ms. Kondon earned her Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.  She graduated Order of the Coif, was a Sayre Macneil Scholar, and was a member of the St. Thomas More Honor Society.

Ms. Kondon earned her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College of Columbia University in an accelerated three-year course of study.

Ms. Kondon is admitted to practice law in California.
